Is the "closing of the loop", or the "circular economy" in marketing terms.
Part of an approach focusing on the environment and traceability, "K-loop" revolves around the use of recycled materials and the option for the end consumer to transparently track each step in a product’s creation. The main idea behind the K-loop project is waste reduction, recycling and reusing: "Nothing is lost, nothing is created: everything is transformed" (Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier). This promising project has launched two collections: "K-loop" and "K-loop tracking".

The K-loop collection
Moving towards a circular economy
The K-loop collection by Kimood and K-up represents a new take on fashion, looking to the future and the circular economy in a literal sense.
The K-loop products are manufactured from scrap materials recovered during the production of KARIBAN BRANDS organic cotton pieces.
K-loop tracking collection
Traceability and sustainability
K-up’s K-loop tracking collection combines Aware™ tracking technology and Polylana® fabric (50% recycled polyester / 50% polyester). Respect for the environment and traceability are the keywords in the K-loop and K-loop tracking collections.
Aware™ Technology
1) Sustainable materials
(from Kariban Brands textile scraps and recycled plastic bottles).
2) AWARE™ trackers
(micro particles).
The recycled fibre is mixed with invisible micro-particle tracers.
A digital passport is issued for the recycled fibre. Secure storage in the "blockchain" (information storage and transmission technology).
The garment is woven from recycled/traced fibre.
The finished product is scanned
Authentication: the scan detects the recycled fibre previously traced and stored in the "Blockchain".
